Ingredion is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join the General Accounting team in our Tulsa location, supporting primarily the Americas (United States & Canada). This role is key to delivering high-quality financial services aligned with Ingredion’s Customer Experience commitments: responsive, empathetic, proactive, and innovative.

As a Sr. Accountant, you will lead and execute accounting tasks and project initiatives that support the Accounting and Financial Reporting strategy for the US/Canada region. You will also serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for issue resolution, while supporting team development and continuous improvement.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, General Accounting and does not oversee direct reports but supports team leadership and development.

What will you do: 

  • Drive and support General Accounting and Indirect Tax operations for the US and Canada.
  • Manage assigned accounting activities and deadlines.
  • Provide training and support to team members and system users.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX controls.
  • Lead and support internal/external audits.
  • Collaborate with business partners to identify process improvements.
  • Monitor SLAs and escalate issues for timely resolution.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Lead and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
  • CPA certification and public accounting experience (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance operations.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Experience in a Shared Services environment (preferred).

Pay Range:

$74,240.00-$98,986.67 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
