Job Description:

Overall Purpose: THIS JOB REQUIRES SPECIAL APPROVAL FROM THE INTERNATIONAL COMPENSATION JOB FAMILY OWNER. Responsible for supporting a diverse range of internal end-to-end information technology systems, infrastructure, and services across multiple regions and countries, ensuring the seamless delivery of end-to-end support in various languages and time zones, while adhering to local and international technology standards and business practices.

Job description:

Specialist technical support –  high level technical support team member, customer support focusing, supporting various services and platforms such as Vmware,  cloud , Linux (RHL, Rocky) / MS OS versions, backup / restore systems and storage / compute devices. The employee is part of a global team.

Skills / requirements:

BSc in IT / computer systems / equivalent technical degree.

Strong IT background.

Strong Linux (RHL, Rocky) / MS OS knowledge – must.

On going OS security activities – patching, vulnerabilities fix, etc – must.

Familiar with MS Azure cloud – advantage.

2-3 years’ experience operating Vmware platforms (ESXi, vCenter) – must.

2-3 years’ experience operating DELL compute systems (chassis, servers) – must.

2-3 years’ experience working in global team supporting global customers – must.

Familiar with DELL – EMC backup systems – advantage.

Familiar with Ansible scripting and coding – advantage.


Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Customized Business Solutions: Develop and support customized business and operational solutions to meet local regulatory, statutory, and multi-language requirements.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide support for critical business services, including break/fix resolution, application deployment/upgrades, security patching, and remediation.
Advance Remote Assistance (ARA) Program: Support the advance remote assistance (ARA) program, providing first-line technology support and potentially tier 2 and tier 3 support for AT&T associates across the international region.

Job Contribution: A professional with solid knowledge of fundamental concepts and organizational practices, working on smaller projects. Exercises judgment in the absence of prescribed guidelines or policies to determine appropriate action. Works under minimal supervision with independent judgment. Actions impact efficiency and costs. Interacts primarily within the department, across various teams.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science. 1+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
