What you’ll do:

  • Design, Development and Coding: Design and code software applications by applying various programming languages to execute development methodologies. (Software Engineers MUST design AND code applications at a minimum.)

  • Collaboration and Communication: Gather and review software requirements, provide estimates, create design specifications, and work with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.

  • Testing and Debugging: Develop and implement automated test plans, validate test environments, data, and results, design and implement code fixes, and produce reporting.

  • Maintenance and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve application configuration and environment issues.

  • Deployment: Facilitate and support the software deployment process.

What you’ll need:

As a Specialist Software Engineering, a professional with solid knowledge of fundamental concepts and organizational practices, working on smaller projects.  Exercises judgment in the absence of prescribed guidelines or policies determine appropriate action.  Works under minimal supervision with independent judgement. Actions impact efficiency and costs.  Interacts primarily within the department, across various teams.  Design, develop/code, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software solutions, ensuring efficient delivery processes and production support with a focus on automation and industry best practices.  Designs and codes modules of applications.


What you’ll bring:

  • Required Experience:

    • 1+ years of technical experience related.

    • Certification is required in some areas.

  • Desired Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science preferred.

Our Specialist Software Engineering earns between $85,700 - $128,500 annually.  Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
