Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Continuing Education, this role is responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the Continuing Education accreditation and certification process for training activities provided to both Sun Life Financial Distribution (SLFD) and the Independent Insurance Distribution (IID) channels for the various provincial legislations and other regulatory organizations.

What will you do?

  • Review, prepare and submit Continuing Education accreditation requests in compliance with the various provincial insurance councils and/or other external organizations

  • Manage Continuing Education (CE) credits for advisors on the Learning Management System (create, update, and post accredited courses available along with CE credits allocation for each province)

  • Generate certificates of attendance (revision of lists and import for the issuance of certificates of attendance to all attendees for every accredited course)

  • Report accredited CE activities and participant attendance into the CIRO CE Reporting and Tracking System (CERTS)

  • Administers team inbox by responding to emails, keeping the inbox organized and up to date

  • Provide advice and support for advisors in continuing education

  • Perform monthly reports and metrics related to accreditation requests and certification

  • Conduct monthly expense reconciliation for CE accreditation fees

  • Provide administrative support including creation/maintenance of team process documentation.

What do you need to succeed?

  • College Diploma or equivalent

  • 1 – 2 years of experience with MS office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, Outlook) and SharePoint, proficient with Excel (Pivot tables, and V-look ups)

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external partners

  • High degree of personal ethics, trust, and relationship building capability

  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and to perform to deadlines

  • Strong communication skills

  • Knowledge of Sun Life’s business processes an asset

  • Ability to perform with minimum supervision

  • Learning Management System experience an asset

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
