Job Description
Optimize and troubleshoot manufacturing processes for microbial, virus, or cell cultures followed by purification/concentration and blending/fill/lyophilization of veterinary vaccines.
Assist in the development of virus, cell culture, and bacterial processes that are robust, scalable, and economical for the production of veterinary vaccines.
Represent Technical Operations on interdisciplinary teams and demonstrate a working knowledge of current GMP guidelines and advanced technical knowledge.
Develop project charters and project plans, aligning with sponsors and stakeholders.
Design and perform simple to complex experimental studies to identify and optimize critical process parameters for the development of robust manufacturing processes for new and existing veterinary biological products.
Develop creative approaches and solutions to assigned projects, implement new technologies, and improve existing processes.
Facilitate product transfers from R&D and site to site. Participate and work with transfer team members on engineering runs and consistent serial production.
Document and prepare comprehensive, accurate, and well-written project summaries and reports.
Interact routinely and effectively with Manufacturing, Quality, and Research.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or Biological Sciences
Required Experience and Skills:
Highly developed verbal and written communication and teamwork skills
Excellent documentation and writing skills
Good conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to solving problems inclusive of diverse perspectives (e.g. safety, compliance)
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Working knowledge of GMP requirements for manufacture and testing of biological products.
Knowledge or experience of bioprocess scale-up, aseptic processes

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The salary range for this role is
$85,600.00 - $134,800.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
