The position is dedicated to a Global Pharmaceutical Client. This role is responsible for sourcing via client’s instance of Cvent, negotiating, contracting, ensuring cost efficiency and client satisfaction. You will lead sourcing strategies, create estimated budgets, and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers. The position requires strong US destination and property knowledge, financial acumen, and the ability to multi-task and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve best pricing and value for clients.
- Initiate and manage Cvent RFP processes for hotels and suppliers, negotiating critical program components.
- Review and finalize supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with client requirements and legal protections.
- Forecast program budgets, update management systems with accurate financial data, and maintain tracking of all programs.
- Fostering collaboration and maintaining open communication with clients and suppliers.
- Conduct additional negotiations to improve costs, profitability, and terms of program components.
- Manage complex customer requests and ensure benchmarking metrics are achieved. Meet client SLAs and track appropriately in Cvent.
- Support Operations Manager with sourcing tasks related to large/complex programs.
What You’ll Bring (Must Have’s)
- College degree.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project, event, or meeting management, including at least two years in procurement.
- Strong knowledge of hotel buying and event budgets.
- Strong knowledge of domestic destinations, hotels, and hotel chains.
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proficiency with Cvent technology and analytical tools.
Nice To Have (Preferred)
- Experience with program management systems.
- Prior success in developing and maintaining key client and supplier relationships.
Working Logistics & Things You Should Know
- This is a Virtual role.
- This position requires US domestic travel for sales site inspections and familiarization trips (up to 10%).
- Reports to Operations Manager.
