Join PESG as a Cloud Software Development Intern, contributing to the design, development, validation, and debugging of software and tools that enable Intel hardware features and optimize deployment across cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premises environments. This role involves working with partner software stacks and optimizing full-stack software-including firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms, and applications-to support cloud infrastructure. The intern may also contribute to customer design enablement and open-source development projects in domains such as data services (ingestion, database, analytics).
The intern will be part of a cross-functional engineering team responsible for developing a new and simplified build and testing framework pipelines. These pipelines will integrate with existing CI/CD infrastructure and are essential for reducing manual testing overhead, improving test coverage, and accelerating release cycles.
The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate on the architecture of a modular and scalable test pipeline.
Support automation of build and test execution and reporting across multiple platforms.
Assist in integrating the framework with Jenkins and other Dev-Tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
Active student pursuing a Bachelor, Licenciatura or Master's degree on Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics or Related field.
Willing to remain at least 1 year as a student worker.
6+ months of experience in the following: (university projects count).
Programming skills in Python.
CI/CD environment (Jenkins).
Git/GitHub.
Intermediate to Advanced English level and communication skills.
Costa Rican unrestricted work permit.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools like Jenkins.
Understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.
Understanding of Linux and Windows Server administration.
Container Orchestration (Docker, K8S).
GitHub automation.
Work Model for this Role
