SUMMARY:

As a Software Developer you will design, develop, and support secure, high-performance applications and ensuring system reliability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions, contribute to DevOps and continuous improvement initiatives, and stay current with emerging technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using .NET (C#) and React.js

  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs to enable seamless communication between front-end, back-end, and third-party systems

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements, define project scope, and translate business needs into functional solutions

  • Enhance and support existing applications, ensuring high availability, reliability, and maintainability

  • Participate in the deployment and integration of third-party/commercial software, ensuring system compatibility

  • Assist senior developers and technical leads with architecture decisions, development tasks, and best practices. Help with troubleshooting and optimizing applications supported by the Information Services Department

  • Evaluate hardware and software products for potential acquisition by Rochester Regional Health

  • Document system architecture, workflows, and technical decisions

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts including DevOps, CI/CD, and code quality initiatives

  • Maintain a basic understanding of AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms to support hybrid/cloud-native development

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study

  • Plus 0-2 years of relevant experience
    OR

  • Associate's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study

  • Plus 4 years of relevant experience.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, or related discipline.

  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting or with clinical decision support systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in .NET (C#), React.js, and RESTful API development.

  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts, especially in AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to both development and DevOps initiatives.

$60,500.00 - $85,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
