IFA SFC MW BE is hiring a Middleware System Software Engineer to be part of a team that develops middleware software including manufacturing execution business logic as well as request / reply and publish / subscribe messaging.
In this role, you will be responsible for design, development, validation, and support of factory middleware components to enable platform and manufacturing technologies.
The candidate will be working with factory clients including Station Controllers as well as with the backend system providers and other third-party software suppliers including a new MES (manufacturing execution system) replacement to provide cross functional linked logic.
The position requires that you are able to independently manage work assignments and complete project lifecycle management (i.e. requirement analysis to deployment and support).
The candidate will actively participate in the modernization and convergence of the middleware stack to support all aspects of Intel Manufacturing and will have many growth opportunities to learn and use modern industry standards including cloud, container, Kafka and others.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Analyzing the customer requirements and designing software solutions to meet requirements
Maintaining clear communications with customers and stakeholders
Creating robust, reliable, and high-performance applications that satisfy all customer requirements.
Creating and running test suites to prove the functionality, reliability, and performance of the applications you develop.
Providing expert level support to factory technicians and process engineers on use of these applications
Learn modern software technologies and apply them to the Intel manufacturing middleware needs
Minimum Qualifications:
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or Engineering related discipline.
1+ years of experience working with semiconductor factory automation factory systems such as Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Manufacturing Kitting Control Systems, Process Control Systems (PCS), NPI Systems, equipment automation, and/or engineering analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in factory Automation application development including process equipment, control systems, and data analytics.
Experience translating technology roadmaps to capability deliverables.
Experience working with Cloud technologies and containers
Experience working on Kafka and KSQL
