Our Impact:

Single-Family Servicing is responsible for outcomes related to collection of mortgage payments due; loss mitigation programs that provide opportunities for distressed borrowers to stay in their homes; and asset disposition for the $3T+ Single-Family portfolio. We set strategic servicing initiatives to provide technology, products and programs that help Servicers effectively and efficiently service Freddie Mac loans. We manage strong relationships with our Servicers to support their performance and compliance with Freddie Mac requirements. We provide servicing portfolio analytics to inform our business decisions, including analytics related to Servicer performance.

Your Impact:

Leading a team of ~20 employees, you will bring management and expertise related to the following:

  • Liquidation Strategy – Manage strategies and outcomes to reduce credit losses for Freddie Mac. Partner with servicing operations teams to execute and adjust liquidation strategies.
  • Servicer Performance Analysis – Manage the servicer default management assessment process. Provide insights to servicing performance managers and management on servicer performance. Work with operations and technology teams to improve data collection and performance analysis. Create routine and ad hoc analysis.
  • Servicing Policy Analysis – Evaluate servicing policy proposals making recommendations to improve Freddie Mac economics. This includes Loss Mitigation analysis where optimization can easily improve pre-tax annual net income by $100M and more.
  • Natural Disaster Analytics and Monitoring – Actively track natural disaster events. Evaluate exposure to Freddie Mac portfolio. Provide insight and reporting to management and policy makers. Monitor longer term impacts.
  • Servicing Model Business Owner (MBO) – Design requirements and work with modelers to build Single-Family servicing related models to support the business objectives as needed. Examples include reserve pricing models, distressed property valuation.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years related professional experience

• 8+ years people management experience

• College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred

• Proven ability to develop and execute strategies that reduce financial loss and improve operational outcomes

• Strong analytical skills with experience in performance assessment, policy evaluation, and data-driven decision-making

• Familiarity with Single-Family default cost management.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Experience with natural disaster impact analysis and portfolio exposure monitoring is a plus

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $244,000 - $366,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
