Shop Supervisor 

Location: Swedesboro, NJ

Position Summary: The Shop Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of the Atlantic Valve Services shop, including machine shop and shipping activities. This role also oversees the site safety program and manages building and equipment maintenance, ensuring smooth and efficient shop operations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Supervise machine shop and shipping operations, providing daily direction to machinists and shipping staff. 

• Coordinate with management and customer service to meet customer needs and expectations. 

• Conduct employee evaluations and feedback sessions for direct reports. 

• Collaborate with other departments on shop workflow. 

• Uphold site safety requirements, participate in safety audits, and investigate/report incidents with management. 

• Participate in the Proconex safety program and monthly safety meetings. 

• Maintain schedules for building and equipment maintenance, including handling issues and coordinating contracted services with management approval. 

• Monitor shop supply levels and order supplies as needed, coordinating with multiple departments. 

Job Requirements: 

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. 

• 2–3 years of experience coordinating or supervising a shop environment. 

• Experience as a facility or warehouse supervisor is preferred.
