As a Shop Foreman, you’ll assist in leading a maintenance enterprise. You’ll ensure Service Technicians, equipment and materials are utilized properly to maximize productivity. You’ll continually improve efficiency and customer satisfaction, by ensuring equipment is properly maintained and repaired. You will work closely with the Service/Branch Manager, and help build a profitable location with your leadership, service and maintenance knowledge. What you'll do:
Coordinate the activities of Service Technicians
Train and supervise mechanical personnel when necessary
Responsible for the safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment
Diagnose and supervise the repair of equipment to ensure work is performed efficiently
Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner

Requirements:
High School Diploma required; trade-School Degree a plus
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
Must own tools applicable to position
Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
Strong diagnostic and repair skills for a variety of systems
Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills

You’ll use your technical knowledge to perform routine maintenance, trouble-shoot and repair pump equipment of varying sizes, capacity, function and manufacturer. Your primary objective is to coordinate the activities of yard and shop personnel, plus to diagnose and supervise the repair and assembly of Fluid Solutions equipment to ensure that work is performed efficiently, while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
What you'll do:
Create work schedules and maintaining proper accounting of Service Technician productivity
Generate service-related revenue
Schedule and perform timely repairs for rental and customer equipment
When required, travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance of equipment
Accurately order needed parts from vendors when needed
Assist peers in developing diagnostic skills and perform all service technician functions when necessary

You will also perform all previous or available levels of Equipment Associate and Welder duties. Your primary objective is to coordinate the activities of yard and shop personnel who provide labor assistance to the sales staff, plus to diagnose and supervise the repair and assembly of Trench Safety equipment to ensure that work is performed efficiently, while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
What you'll do:
Plan, organize, and schedule Equipment Associates and Welders activities as needed; delegate tasks, and enforce safety procedures
Monitor, train & supervise employees to ensure that work is done correctly
Supervise the safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment at branch or customer locations; order needed parts when necessary
Diagnose all equipment in the rental fleet appropriately utilizing schematics or engineering tabulated data
When required, travel to customer site for repair/maintenance of rental or owned equipment, assist in the pick up and delivery of equipment and parts to and from outside vendors and other United Rentals, Inc. locations for purchase and repair

As a Fence Installation Foreman at Reliable Onsite Services, a division of United Rentals, you will perform all previous or available levels of Fence Installer and Fence Driver duties; ensure workers, equipment and materials are utilized properly to maximize productivity. Includes coordinating the activities of Fence Installers and Fence Drivers, supervising the installation of equipment to ensure that work is performed efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
What you’ll do:
Plan, organize, and schedule Fence Installers and Fence Drivers activities as needed; delegate tasks, and enforce safety procedures:
Monitor employees, and ensure that work is done correctly
Train and supervise personnel when necessary
Using high degree of independent judgement, responsible for the safe installation and removal of a variety of fence based rental items.
Ability to problem solve issues that occur in the field.
Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis:
Ensure proper usage of HHD
Document all equipment used and labor accurately
Ensure proper documentation and maintenance logs of installation equipment, delivery fleet, and all other non-rental assets
When required travel to customer site for installation/removal
Maintain a vehicle in a clean and professional manner
May assist in the pickup and delivery of equipment and parts to and from outside vendors and other United Rentals, Inc. locations
Maintain proper branch level inventories in conjunction with Branch Manager to ensure accuracy of needed parts using reference material as required through approved vendors
Helps Complete ride-alongs when drivers have Smart Drive infractions as well as retraining of repeat offenders
Active participation in one 5S quarterly assessment
Actively participates in safety huddles and documentation processes
Train Fence Drivers and Installation Associates on safety protocols and proper fence installation/removal techniques
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalency
Manufacturer sponsored training a plus
Trade school training a plus
Active applicable state class driver’s license
3+ years of experience installing/removing temporary fence items
Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools and machinery
Good leadership, teamwork and customer service skills
Good time management skills
Advanced knowledge of rental cycle
Working knowledge of reading site diagrams/topography maps
Assist peers in developing problem solving skills and may perform both Fence Driver I and II functions when necessary.
Activities requiring handling and grasping with the hands when performing repairs or maintenance of equipment by utilizing hand tools, power tools, air tools, nuts, bolts, electronic controls, and other small parts.
Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 45 lbs.
Ability to wear a respirator and/or hearing protection as required
Ability to bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for prolonged periods of time
Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 4 hours per day
Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment several times per day
Advanced knowledge and understanding of handheld and all technologies and processes associated
Advanced knowledge and basic repairs of bulk assets
Advanced knowledge and operation of multiple styles and types of vehicles within ROS
