Job Description

ServiceNow Development Engineer is a key contributor in apiphani’s growing service delivery organization. This role is part of the ServiceNow delivery team and is responsible for researching, developing, delivering, and maintaining ServiceNow enhancements and new functionality implementations.

The position has two components, providing ServiceNow development services for apiphani’s clients and working internally on apiphani’s own ServiceNow platform and integration with other enterprise applications.

This is an opportunity for an Engineer with a strong background in ServiceNow Scrum delivery. This role is client facing and works directly with clients as part of their day-to-day activities.

Job Duties

  • Design and deploy ServiceNow functionality utilizing an Agile delivery framework.
  • Translate requirements into actionable user stories for new configuration in the ServiceNow platform.
  • Work with a team of both functional and technical contacts to gather requirements and work with Scrum Master to organize sprints.
  • Create custom widgets, complex pages, resolve UI performance bottlenecks, taxonomies and portal content.
  • Developing and maintaining the configuration management database (CMDB) to ensure that configuration items and processes are current.
  • Research, demo, and implement emerging AI technologies such as NowAssist.
  • Estimate development level of effort for stories in the form of story points. Story points are used for balancing development workload and organizing sprints.
  • Oversee administration activities such as periodic clone downs and manage ServiceNow platform upgrades.
  • Contribute to the development of ServiceNow roadmap.

 

Required Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of CSM, ITSM modules on processes like Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, Knowledge, Reports, and integrations like LDAP, SSO, REST API, etc.
  • Experience in developing complex catalog items and customizing Employee Center.
  • Experience in the implementation, administration, maintenance and enhancements of ServiceNow.
  • Experience using Process Automation and Workflow Editor to configure workflows and automate tasks.
  • Experience developing ServiceNow APIs, ServiceNow Workflows, UI Pages, UI Macros, Business Scripts, Catalog Client Scripts, Client Scripts, UI Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies, Script Includes, and Security Rules (ACLs).
  • One or more of the following ServiceNow certifications: (CIS) Certified Implementation Specialist, or (CAD) Certified Application Developer.
  • Proven ability to leverage the ServiceNow platform to automate common requests (service catalog) and integrate with common platforms (Active Directory, SaaS applications, etc.) using programmatic methods (e.g., APIs, microservices).
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery framework.
  • Strong communications, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Deadline and detail oriented.
  • Strong ownership bias.

 

Nice to have

  • Experience in technology consulting, professional, or managed services.
  • Experience working in a domain separated ServiceNow environment.
  • ServiceNow (CSA) Certified Systems Administrator certification.
Base Salary
$40,000$75,000 USD
