Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Program Manager 2. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do:

With general guidance from assignment or functional management, this position is responsible for providing leadership to a customer-focused team or group of teams. Committed to increased quality and productivity to meet program requirements. In accordance with organizational and leadership goals, provides direction on activities, behaviors and results. Motivates team members and facilitates team meetings that cultivate and reinforce appropriate group values, norms, and behaviors consistent with Northrop Grumman leadership behaviors and Northrop Grumman values. Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and provides solutions. Provides guidance to team on development, performance, and productivity issues.

Serves on the Program Execution and Operations (PE&O) team in a leadership capacity supporting a program and program operations while directly responsible for directing team members to prepare, coordinate, and facilitate executive level and customer level engagements to include distinguished visitors, and program level meetings. Support executive level SCRUMs using platforms such as Jira and Confluence as needed. Responsible for PE&O Contract Data Requirements List deliverables as required or assigned. Manage program increment rhythm to enable and integrate program and segment level execution of objectives. Manage program archives and maintain repository and associated files to ensure continuity of operations and lines of communication both internal to program and with external stakeholders.

Responsible for supporting program communications and executive directives. Support strategic planning initiatives. Oversee facilities and space planning, seating, and ensure IT Infrastructure and software requirements (license needs, software, computers) are met according to program needs.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience; master's degree and 6 years’ experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

  • Demonstrated track record/ experience in project management/ execution and closeout

  • Firm understanding and application of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

  • Executive presence and comfort in communications at that level

  • Experience building strong customer relationships.

  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of effective collaboration in team environments.

  • Experience managing people

  • Strong understanding of the impact of decision-making on organizational objectives, emphasizing accountability and foresight.

  • Experience managing people

  • Ability to demonstrate independent creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

  • AGILE/SCRUM Experience

  • PMP or Agile Certifications

  • Program Management experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently in meeting customer requirements/expectations.

  • Familiarity with Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM).

  • Active TS clearance

  • Current/Active Special Program Access (SAP)

  • CAM or IPT leadership

  • Proficient in managing project costs and schedules effectively.

Primary Level Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $202,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
