Role Overview
Berklee is seeking a dynamic, experienced Senior Workday Solutions Architect to join our team. In this critical role, you will be the Berklee technical lead for projects and ongoing technical support for our Workday platform, including Workday Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Financial Management, Adaptive, Extend, Prism, Learning, and Student modules. Your expertise will guide Berklee through system enhancements, integrations, and troubleshooting, ensuring the continued success of our Workday environment.

This position will require close collaboration with stakeholders across the institution and the opportunity to mentor the Workday technical team. As part of Berklee’s Information Technology Services (ITS) team, you will be a key player in shaping the technological solutions that power our community's academic and administrative systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of Workday solutions across multiple modules (e.g., HCM, Finance, Payroll, Adaptive, and Student) to align with the Workday platform goals and long-term roadmaps.

  • Oversee and own the overall technical architecture, ensuring security, scalability, and performance

  • Collaborate with technical leads in Workday HCM, Finance, Adaptive, and Student modules to develop and implement system architecture and protocols.

  • Design, build, and maintain Workday custom reports, integrations, and dashboards in alignment with Berklee’s goals and data security frameworks.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring data consistency and security across all Workday modules.

  • Partner with Berklee Enterprise technical team to support the integration between internal Berklee systems to maintain data integrity and system architecture alignment

  • Troubleshoot complex issues, conduct impact analyses for Workday updates, and provide expert guidance

  • Assist with the development and execution of a comprehensive Workday data governance program.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Workday’s products and best practices, and contribute to system optimization and enhancements.

Who You Are
You are a seasoned professional with 5-8 years of experience working with the Workday platform, including experience with Workday Financials, Adaptive, and Workday Student. You bring a strong technical background and have a passion for problem-solving, troubleshooting, and driving system improvements. You thrive in a collaborative, student-centered environment and are adept at managing competing priorities while providing exceptional service to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience, with at least 3 years of experience in Workday Finance report writing.

  • Experience with Workday HCM, Financials, Adaptive, and Student modules (Workday Student experience is a plus).

  • Strong experience with Workday Studio, BIRT, Core Connector, API calls, and advanced calculated fields.

  • At least three Workday Pro certifications required, with a preference for certifications in Financials, Integrations, and Reporting.

  • Experience with data governance and reporting/integration processes.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and proactively with a high degree of initiative.

  • BA in a technology-related field or commensurate professional experience.

Hiring Range:
$150,000 - $180,000; salary dependent on relevant experience and education.
