Key Objectives
Integration of complete customer/system solutions (in functional and software domain); creation
of Test Cases, based on Use Cases, creation/maintaining of Test Environments and Test Case execution.
Description of key responsibilities
The Senior Test Engineer within the SIT team will be in contact with all Product Teams for SIT de-
liveries and planning alignment, and with the Architecture Team with respect to system require-
ments and Use Cases. Together with the members of the SIT team the corresponding SIT activity
steps must be planned, executed, and reported on.
Tasks
In line with the described key-responsibilities, the following main tasks can be identified:
Facilitates and chairs community sessions (methods from the Agile development methodology) of the System Integration Testing community; co-owner of the corresponding backlog;
Participates in System Level alignment activities with other Product Owners;
Performs risk management, taking test coverage and team capacities into account;
Creates and executes Test Plans and test-cases, covering new features/functionalities;
Selects test-cases for regression testing;
Promotes and supports test-automation in Product Teams and SIT team;
Works on process improvements.
Competences
Technical Knowledge/ Education
Education on BSc/MSc level, in the area of Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering or equivalent.
Certified ISTQB Advanced Test Manger or Advanced Technical Test Analyst is a pre.
Knowledge of, and experience with, complex IT software systems and familiar with its communication/interface protocols.
Strong technical background preferably with knowledge and experience of embedded systems and hardware in the loop setups.
At least 10 years of experience in (conventional and agile/scrum) project- and testmanagement, and related methods and tooling.
Extensive knowledge of Test methods for testing in the functional- and software domain; manual testing and automated testing (using Robot Framework).
Practical knowledge of Tooling for testing in the functional- and software domain.
Non-Technical
Communication – Clear and complete in speaking and writing; ability to conclude and summarize.
Leadership - Has leading role in the area of System Integration activities.
Recognized as authority in its field of expertise.
Pragmatic and result oriented working approach.
Personal - Self-dependent, pro-active and productive / has coaching skills / is customer-oriented / can work in international work-environment.
