About the Role:
Lead daily production operations for the Advanced Therapeutics & Compounding Service, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient delivery of services in collaboration with the Senior Production Services Pharmacist.
Prepare and compound pharmaceutical products by following established procedures, completing batch sheets, labels, and maintaining all required documentation to meet audit and compliance standards.
Maintain full record-keeping and compliance, including compounding records, temperature logs, environmental monitoring results, cleaning logs, and other documentation required for regulatory and quality assurance purposes.
Manage inventory and stock control activities, including ordering, receipting, putting stock away, rotating stock, checking expiry dates, conducting stocktakes, and ensuring accurate stock levels at all times.
Ensure operational safety and quality, including routine environmental monitoring of the cleanroom suite, correct handling of hazardous waste, and maintaining cold chain requirements for temperature-sensitive medicines.
Provide leadership and training by supervising Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians, supporting onboarding and orientation for new team members, and contributing to continuous service improvement.
About You:
Proven experience working in a hospital pharmacy and eligible to work as a Grade 3 Pharmacy Technician (holding a nationally recognised Certificate IV or equivalent) with competency in performing complex tasks under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Demonstrated understanding and experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or aseptic compounding, including chemotherapy, with a commitment to quality assurance, quality control and adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven interpersonal skills and the ability to problem-solve effectively when working with colleagues, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organisational and time management capability, demonstrated through the ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands, and consistently meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to effectively utilise pharmacy and hospital information systems, including programs such as iPharmacy, electronic medical records, and related clinical applications.
