About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our Finance team in Sofia. This role is responsible for owning end-to-end direct tax compliance across our European entities, including corporate income tax (CIT) and transfer pricing (TP). You will also lead audit readiness efforts, drive compliance initiatives, and act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
This is a strategic role for someone with deep tax expertise and leadership experience who wants to make a tangible impact in a fast-growing, multinational company.
What You’ll Do
Own the operational execution of direct tax compliance (CIT/TP), ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely submissions.
Lead the clean-up of any backlog of direct tax filings and implement controls to prevent recurrence.
Take ownership of TP compliance operations, including preparing benchmark studies, local files, and filings according to local rules.
Support Pillar 2 compliance (Global Minimum Tax), including filings, notifications, and monitoring payments.
Own the CbCR timeline and risk review, reconciling reported positions against statutory and management accounts.
Act as the primary contact for stakeholders on operational tax matters, including finance teams, auditors, and external consultants.
Support the development and rollout of tax reporting packages and tax control frameworks.
Mentor and guide team members to ensure smooth operational coverage and knowledge sharing.
Who We’re Looking For
Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
7–8 years of proven experience in tax compliance in a multinational environment, both in-house and as an external advisor.
Strong accounting background, with the ability to challenge and discuss postings and their tax impact independently.
Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Data Tables, etc.).
Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and tax data transformation/analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx).
ACCA accreditation or equivalent professional certification.
Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken.
Detail-oriented, analytical, self-driven, proactive, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
Nice to Have
Experience drafting tax compliance processes and controls documentation.
Prior experience leading or supervising a tax function.
Exposure to multinational audits and transfer pricing strategy implementation.
