The Boeing Company’s Global Talent Management (GTM) organization is seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Senior Talent Management Specialist focused on succession planning and talent development to join our Human Resources team in Seattle, WA, Berkeley, MO, Arlington, VA or North Charleston, SC. Our team is open to a broad range of experience levels including Level 4 and Level 5 Specialists to find the best fit for this position.

This role will be instrumental in building and deploying the processes that identify high-potential employees, develop talent pipelines, and ensure that our organization is prepared for future leadership needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in talent management, process design, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for fostering employee growth and development.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to create and implement career navigation strategies and resources for employees that promote understanding of career principles, guiding employees in identifying their next opportunities and fostering their professional growth

  • Aid global talent partners in flawless execution of enterprise succession strategy across all business units and functions

  • Collaborate with global talent partners in support and coordination with senior leadership to collect and report on critical roles and succession plans for key positions within the organization

  • Assess the strength of the current talent pool, succession slates and successor development plans in conjunction with the business/functions development strategies to provide a realistic picture of the pipeline, viability and future talent outcomes for critical roles

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of succession plans (using external benchmarking and/or internal bench marking data) and make recommendations for adjustments

  • Communicate effectively with employees about development opportunities and career paths within the organization

  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development center of excellence (COE) on executive development - providing them with key development themes across successors and talent pools, ensuring follow-through from assessment to development planning, and establishing coaching relationships to fulfill development plans

  • Implement one standardized talent development playbook that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals and employee career aspirations

  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs to GTM Partners and Human Resources (HR) to ensure they have the skills to develop strong individual growth plans, career movement, and talent pipelines

  • Support the performance management process by providing guidance to GTM Partners and HR on setting performance goals and conducting evaluations

  • Ensure connectivity and articulate how performance contributes to the talent identification process

  • Analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement in talent development initiatives

  • Support preparation and deployment of the annual engagement survey, ensuring coordination between COE, HR, Communications, Site leadership to drive participation and post-survey results release and action planning

  • Utilize HR analytics to track the progress of talent development initiatives and measure their impact on employee performance and retention

  • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on talent management metrics, including succession readiness and development program effectiveness

  • Partner with HR colleagues and business leaders to ensure alignment of talent management strategies with overall business objectives

  • Collaborate closely with HR colleagues orchestrating seamless talent initiatives that are aligned together throughout the talent strategy

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in talent management, succession planning, or organizational development

  • 5+ years of experience collecting and interpreting data with the ability to present data-driven talent insights

  • 5+ years of experience with project management and organizational skills

  • 5+ years of experience supporting change management and process improvement activities

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Experience with talent development methodologies and best practices

  • Experience using excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with HR software and tools, including performance management systems and learning management systems

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Level 4: $104,550 - $165,000

Summary pay range Level 5: $128,350 - $203,000
