Senior System & Reporting Specialist
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Analytics & Planning, this role is responsible for the data systems and tools that support the analysis driving the management and execution of the generic component of Shoppers Drug Mart’s Pharmacy Procurement program, and Sanis Health Supply Planning Division. The scope of the role encompasses the following broad functions: robust data integration across diverse platforms, comprehensive data quality management (including cleansing and optimization), SQL Server database development and optimization, advanced reporting (including Power BI and operational reports), decision support tools development, analytical modeling, demand/supply planning, and technical documentation.
Maintain, monitor, and optimize Sanis databases, Sanis/SAP tables to ensure high performance, availability, and data quality and accuracy
Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of critical data assets, including master data and product attributes
Convert current Sanis forecast to SQL Server (or similar) with proper checks and balances
Research, evaluate, and implement new, advanced forecasting solutions specifically design for Sanis operations
Responsible for compelling dashboard and tool designing to support:
Sanis Supply Chain
Market Intel
Portfolio Management
Rx Plan Tracker
Product Program Tracker
Waste Mitigation Management Strategies
Identify Key Performance Metrics across all these projects, and provide key data and reporting requirements to the System Developer
Design Dynamic, Refreshable Dashboards -- from executive-level to store-level, where applicable -- to support key decision-making strategies
Design Tools to Facilitate "What If" scenarios, support Cross Functional Impact analysis, and drive insights
Develop streamlined information sharing strategies to support 2-way dialog
Where possible, seek alternate tools and platforms to support sustainability and continuity
Ensure appropriate documentation assembled and available for reference and for transitioning purposes
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a University degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Science or similar.
3 - 5 years supply chain and analytical experience in the pharmaceutical or food industry with exposure to a broad array of analysis techniques
Expert level with Excel, Power BI, VBA, Access, SQL (and other relational databases)
Excellent analytical skills
Experienced in SAP
Statistics background would be considered an asset
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Effective project management skills.
Able to maintain strong working relationships with internal employees and with external partners.
In addition to excellent analytic skills, the candidate must be able to interpret and present information (both written and verbal) in an engaging, meaningful way.
