Position Title: Senior Manager- Tennis Center
Reports To: Coordinator of Reservations, Membership, and Outreach
Description: Senior Managers must be able to demonstrate leadership skills and uphold Campus Recreation policies and procedures to the patrons of the Penn State University community. They must have knowledge and skills to offer concise information for training and development offerings for Membership and Outreach student staff at the Tennis Center. Senior Managers must be able to work independently and take the initiative to provide new ideas and training concepts for the benefit and improvement of the Membership and Outreach area at the Tennis Center.
Responsibilities
· Assist with the management of daily area procedures and appropriate utilization of resources such as planning and preparing content, materials, and set-up/tear down of student staff development and trainings.
· Assist with the development and facilitation of training student staff related to Membership and Outreach at the Tennis Center.
· Oversight of tracking student staff day to day operations, which includes policy enforcement, shift promptness, troubleshooting technology, and staff and patron concerns.
· Assist Membership and Outreach professional staff with membership, outreach, court reservations, court fees, and rental equipment.
· Assist Managers with oversight of Reserve My Court and Connect2.
· Monitoring to ensure we are in compliance with AD 39.
· Primary oversight of outreach event preparation and execution.
· Assisting with fielding patron concerns via tenniscenter@psu.edu email.
· Assist with the recruitment and hiring process.
· Assist with the evaluation and accountability of student staff.
· Actively participate in collaborative work and development.
· Attend Campus Recreation department staff meetings.
· Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

· Must successfully complete the following 3 clearances:
o PA State Police Criminal Background Check
o PA Child Abuse History Clearance
o FBI Criminal Background Check
· Successfully complete Pediatric and Adult CPR/First Aid after hire.
· Demonstrated leadership skills.
· Strong critical thinking skills.
· Promote Campus Recreation programs and services.
Working Conditions
· Average of 15-18 hours worked per week as a Senior Manager for Campus Recreation.
· Work will take place on the University Park Campus and in the State College Community.
· Must be able to accommodate a variable work schedule that will include mornings, evening, weekends, and University breaks.
