The purpose of this role is design, code, test, correct, and document complex programs and scripts based on agreed specifications and standards, in collaboration with software engineers to develop and integrate software solutions, and enhance existing systems to improve operational applications.

Your new role

Some aspects of the Senior Software role include:

  • Manage the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strong focus on the why and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
  • Ensure customer impacts are assessed and addressed in the design and delivery of solutions.
  • Proactively build and maintain strong and effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Perform more complex development activities which may be beyond the competency or skill of a software engineer.
  • Analyse business requirements, refine and implement solutions.
  • Develop applications which includes coordination and collaboration with the BA/QA as well as the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) of the project owners.
  • Supporting developers to grow technically and professionally.
  • Please note that for the successful candidate, this process will include a phone screen with our Talent Acquisition team, 2 interviews (either face to face or online via Teams) and background checks.

About you

You will be an experienced full stack software engineer with excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate yourself both with written technical & verbal.  With strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, you will have the following technical knowledge and experience & knowledge in:

  • With the hands-on development on client server and n-tier systems
  • Coaching and mentoring team members
  • Proficient in relational database and SQL development
  • Broad knowledge of software development life cycle processes
  • Expertise in technical and/or business area
  • Practical commercial experience in .NET development (.NET Framework and/or .NET Core).
  • Knowledge on Test Driven Development, CI/CD principles & agile working
