Senior Scientist & People Lead in Bioconjugation, Protein Engineering and Supply (m/f/d)

The position is located in Biological Core Technologies, a department within the Discovery of the pREDs Large Molecules Research , where the design, supply and development of next generation biologics is the primary focus. We closely collaborate with our therapeutic areas and functions to convert therapeutic hypotheses into innovative therapeutics.
Job mission
We are offering an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Scientist to lead a highly engaged team of protein chemistry and molecular biology specialists applying state-of-the art technology. You will be responsible for our automated and non-automated bioconjugation activities and for the design and supply of next generation engineered proteins in close collaboration with our internal and external partners.
Your impact
Leading a team of 6 to 9 highly motivated molecular biology and protein chemistry experts using advanced high throughput automation with a focus on Bioconjugation and Protein Engineering
Developing and supporting advanced Bioconjugation and Protein Engineering approaches, shaping and evolving our portfolio projects with next generation bioconjugates and antibody based therapeutics
Nurturing trustful relationships and effective collaboration with internal and external partners.
Your profile

Your 5 years+ experience in (site directed) Bioconjugation technology, preferentially in the the ADC field, drug discovery, advanced protein engineering and state of the art biochemistry enables you to support our technology and portfolio projects. You have a keen interest in working with and developing liquid handling automation platforms and supporting IT systems. You are resourceful and flexible in problem solving and in working in a collaborative and inclusive manner with strong oral and written communication skills.
