As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you will be part of the Mobile Platform team who owns the delivery of solutions to mobile engineering problems. This team supports and mentors high-performing engineers and is leading the transition of Zip Native apps into React Native. Your work is key to the ongoing mobile evolution and success of Zip's customer experience.

What you'll own

  • Feel responsible for what you do with a strong sense of ownership: You build it, you test it, you run it, you deploy it, and you support it.
  • Produce rock-solid code and be able to work unsupervised, with a focus on delivering above stakeholder expectations.
  • Perform effective code reviews and lead the development of high-quality software used by our teams, merchants, and customers.
  • Manage a backlog of features, bugs, and technical debt, while effectively managing priority.
  • Explore new technologies and share your findings, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

What you'll bring to the team

  • Extensive experience working with React Native using TypeScript at scale.
  • Experience with Native iOS (Swift, RxSwift, Swift UI) and Native Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, RxJava) development.
  • Solid knowledge of modern architecture patterns like MVVM and Clean architecture.
  • Ability to coach and bring the best out of others, with a focus on operational maturity and effective delivery.
  • A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
