[What the role is]
As a Senior/ Public Health Officer, you will be protecting the health of Singaporeans by reducing the burden of communicable diseases through the development and implementation of evidence-based policy formulation, implementing and overseeing effective disease prevention and control programmes, including epidemiological surveillance programmes and timely outbreak response and management.[What you will be working on]
Key Job Responsibilities:
Formulation, implementation, monitoring and review of the prevention and control strategies for contact and environmental diseases
Develop and implement surveillance programmes
Epidemiological investigation and outbreak management
Provide technical subject matter expertise
Programme management and administration
[What we are looking for]
Job Requirements:
Preferably with Pharmacy, Life Science, Medical, Nursing, Public Health or Epidemiology background
2-3 years work experience in public health would be advantageous
Strong analytical skillsets
Ability to work under pressure and simultaneously on different projects
Excellent organisational skills and resourcefulness
Good inter-personal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across disciplines
Willing to work beyond office hours, especially during outbreaks
Continuously keep up-to-date on new developments in the communicable diseases field
