Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Phantom Works (PW) - Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Division has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4) to join the Phantom Works Program Management team in Tukwila, WA!

The position provides an opportunity to work with an experienced, interdisciplinary team to develop a unique system to meet challenging requirements on dynamic development programs.  Boeing Phantom Works creates the next generation products, platforms, mission systems and services for the BDS business.  We work with proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies capabilities and platforms in Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers.  Phantom Works focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers.  Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with engineering and functional disciplines in an integrated team environment to execute program deliverables and develop new technologies and platform concepts.
  • Project management support of new programs and support of existing franchise programs.
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) implementation and coordinate with Finance to resolve emergent issues.
  • Act as Control Account Manager (CAM) for program office scope.
  • Coordination, management, and delivery of contract line-item deliverables.
  • Professionalism in dealing with senior leaders, persuasive written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Project Manager for Integrated Research and Development (IRAD) projects and other shaping projects, as required
  • Supports MS&B Franchise Programs such as E-7 and KC-46 with development program surge support to shape and keep the program sold.
  • Works with Business Development and Strategy (BD&S) to support programs and for Request for Proposal (RFP) captures.
  • Develop/Maintain Project Schedules for PW-MS&B programs
  • Coordinate with Supplier Management and coordinate Strategic Partnership demonstrations

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in a technical or engineering field

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Demonstrated leadership ability in formal or informal roles within the Boeing Company or in outside activities.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical or engineering field
  • Experience collaborating with senior level/executive level management.
  • Experience developing senior management and executive level presentations.
  • 2 years or more of experience in project management and/or cost account management using Earned Value Management techniques.
  • Experience in a role with or supporting BCA, BDS, BR&T, Government Operation and/or Boeing International.
  • Prior history working in a classified environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Master’s degree or higher

Summary pay range for $120,700 - $163,300
