Purpose

The Senior Program Coordinator, Student Success and Experience for the MS in Technology Commercialization (MSTC) program is a key relationship and experience manager —supporting every stage of the student journey and ensuring that each participant receives exceptional service and engagement throughout the program. This role combines program operations, student success, and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced, hybrid learning environment. Working closely with the MSTC Associate and Faculty Directors, the coordinator will serve as the main point of contact for students and faculty, ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for both in-person and online learners.

Responsibilities

Student Success and Engagement

  • Serve as a proactive, trusted resource for MSTC students—offering personalized support, timely communication, and solutions that ensure student satisfaction and success.
  • Provide academic advising and guidance, track degree progress, and identify at-risk students for early intervention.
  • Gather and analyze student feedback through surveys and informal check-ins; identify opportunities to improve the student experience.
  • Partner with faculty, Career Management, and program leadership to design and deliver co-curricular initiatives that enrich academic and professional growth.
  • Foster a strong community through social, networking, and alumni engagement events.

Program Operations and Faculty Support

  • Manage course delivery across in-person and online formats; maintain Canvas course sites, content updates, announcements, and classroom readiness.
  • Support faculty by coordinating teaching materials, course schedules, and alignment of syllabi and assignments.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Admissions teams to support outreach and brand-building, recruiting, and program communications to increase market awareness.
  • Ensure all academic operations run smoothly, with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and consistency.

Event and Experience Coordination

  • Lead on-site logistics during MSTC class weekends, ensuring a professional, welcoming environment for students, faculty, and guests.
  • Plan and execute major program events such as Orientation, Launch Week, Graduation, Global Seminar Trips, Speaker Series, and networking events.
  • Anticipate student and faculty needs, solve problems quickly, and provide responsive, client-level service throughout all program touchpoints.

Program Administration and Continuous Improvement

  • Assist with admissions, enrollment, and scheduling processes.
  • Manage event and programming budgets, track expenses, and contribute to financial planning.
  • Track, analyze, and report student data to inform decision-making and fulfill reporting requirements for stakeholders such as the Dean’s Office, Graduate School, University Assessment, and external partners.
  • Evaluate program operations and recommend improvements that enhance student satisfaction and program impact.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in program coordination, client relations, student affairs, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding client or student service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities with precision and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and solve problems creatively, while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with learning management systems such as Canvas.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., higher education administration, social work, business administration).
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional areas and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
  • Experience with software platforms for registration, surveys and communication (e.g., Constant Contact, Qualtrics, Salesforce, MailChimp, etc.)
