Your mission
As Senior Product Manager in the Mobile app squad, you will own the strategic development of Alma's consumer-facing digital ecosystem. Your mission is to evolve our mobile app from a payment management tool into a comprehensive consumer platform, while driving the success of our Alma card that enables frictionless payments everywhere.
Working closely with a squad of engineers and a product designer, you will shape the future of consumer experience by expanding our mobile app with loyalty features, merchant catalogue, and frictionless checkout capabilities. Through deep understanding of consumer behaviour, payment trends, and card technology, you'll build solutions that power millions of interactions across Europe while establishing Alma as the go-to consumer payment companion.
Main responsibilities
- Define and execute the mobile app strategy and roadmap, balancing continuous improvement of existing features with exploration of new consumer-centric opportunities that drive engagement and transaction volume.
- Lead continuous product discovery, leveraging user research, behavioural analytics, and market insights to identify opportunities for enhancing mobile app adoption and virtual card usage.
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of complex mobile and card features, working closely with engineering to navigate technical challenges, and executing successful go-to-market strategies with our product marketing team.
- Own mobile app performance metrics, tracking user engagement, retention, transaction success rates, and feature adoption to drive continuous optimisation and business impact.
- Collaborate with payment infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration between mobile app features and our core payment systems, maintaining high performance and reliability standards.
- Develop deep expertise in consumer payments and card technology, staying ahead of industry trends in mobile commerce, digital wallets, and virtual card innovations to guide product direction.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including operations, risk, and merchant teams to ensure mobile and card features support broader business objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Drive consumer-centric innovation, identifying opportunities to extend the mobile app beyond payment management into loyalty, merchant discovery, and frictionless shopping experiences.
Your skills
Hard skills
- Experience leading and launching ambitious and transformative projects on consumer-facing mobile products with demonstrated business impact.
- Knowledge of modern product practices (discovery, design thinking, delivery, etc.).
- Strong understanding of payment systems, card technology, and mobile commerce. Familiarity with concepts such as tokenisation, mobile wallets, and virtual card infrastructure.
- Experience with consumer credit, BNPL, or financial services products is a strong asset.
- Strong analytical mindset with comfort working with data and metrics (SQL proficiency is a plus).
- Experience managing complex consumer platforms with multiple user journeys and feature sets.

What would make you a good fit for this job ?
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with significant exposure to consumer mobile products and payment systems.
- Proven track record delivering successful mobile applications or payment products with measurable user adoption and business impact.
- Experience in fintech, consumer credit, payments, or digital wallet products is a strong plus.
- Background working with virtual cards, mobile payments, or consumer financial services is highly valued.
- Strong ability to collaborate with engineering and stakeholder teams, including Compliance, Risk, Security, Operations, and Revenue, to deliver scalable and compliant mobile and payment solutions.
