Role Purpose:
This position works for the CEPG (Cross Enterprise Procurement Group) Managing Director, PE/AFP. The CEPG consists of Operating Committee Bottlers including CBPC, CCBSS, CCEP, CC Femsa, CC Hellenic, Arca-Continental, AFBCC, CCBJI, CC Icecek, CCBA, CCBJI, and more than 50 other General Bottlers. The position supports the Production Equipment Managing Director for the development and execution of the Global Production Equipment Procurement Program in collaboration with the Bottler members. The position supports and administers the global PE program key activities the primary activity being the negotiation and contracting for beverage processing, filling lines and equipment. The position works closely with the bottler members of CEPG to manage, negotiate, and administer master supply agreements that provide best in class contract terms and conditions with global suppliers of production equipment and technology. In addition, the position is accountable for Cost Forecasting, Supply and Demand Modeling, Extended Team Meeting coordination, Strategic Sourcing Seven Steps Process (DD1-DD4), Supplier Technology and Innovation Communication, along with a variety of reporting responsibilities including Pipeline of Value (POV), CEPG Operating Committee presentations and monthly reporting. The position provides leadership for activities in the global program and interfaces with other TCCC Supply Chain functions to collaborate across all Regions and Suppliers. The position is supported by the CEPG Global “Extended Teams” which primarily consist of the Procurement Managers from the CEPG Operating Committee Members. This CEPG Core and Extended Team are responsible for implementing the strategy of the PE program for all the Geographic Groups including North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Annual spend is approximately $2.0B for the System. The Procurement Strategy is to manage price and supply risks which are critical to ensure the available installed capacity to meet company long term unit case volume growth targets and profit.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

  • Help develop and deliver a sustainable PE strategy and execute the approved PE strategy throughout TCCC and CEPG.
  • Provide product and service expertise to geographic associates to build bottler relationships, improve collaboration and increase Network participation.
  • Build sustainable global and regional supplier relationships that generate value for both the Coca-Cola system and the supplier over time.
  • Co-develop and implement plans, tactics, and strategies for each geographic region to achieve competitive cost advantage.
  • Develop systems and tools to capture historical prices and contract terms that can support benchmarking and cost forecasting for future requirements
  • Coordinate and lead the negotiation of global master agreements that result in preferential commercial and legal terms and conditions (e.g., discounts, payment terms and warranties) for the KO system.
  • Administer global master agreements including annual price/discount adjustment process and incentive validation and tracking
  • Assess current and future business environment to determine if changes in objectives are required.
  • Provide cost forecasts to company-owned operations and relevant third parties (e.g., bottlers) to assist them in the development of their business plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with global account management of strategically important global and regional suppliers to support and enhance the supply strategies of the KO system.
  • Induction of new Bottling Partners and onboarding of new Extended Team Members.
  • Build alignment with internal stakeholder groups of the sourcing strategy and procurement process for products/services to identify business needs and to ensure compliance with operational standards inclusive of the in-house developed Capital Procurement Toolkit (CPT).
  • Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit emerging opportunities/competitive advantages that benefit the Coca-Cola system.
  • Provide product and service expertise to the Coca-Cola system that builds bottler relationships, improves collaboration, and increases Network participation to leverage system spend and decrease total costs.
  • Influence suppliers' manufacturing processes, technology decisions and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations by leveraging the volume of the Coca-Cola system.
  • Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models.
  • Manage timely communications to ensure key stakeholders are informed of PE program routines and priorities and industry developments
  • Influence external client to act upon recommendation by using appropriate persuasion or selling techniques (e.g., Positive Power and Influence, Connecting with Customer).
  • Support work on Sustainability initiatives for PE Category and align initiatives with Bottlers, Suppliers and Internal Stakeholder as well as build reporting for KPIs.
  • Coordinate reporting for PE Program as requested by Global Procurement and CEPG and keep Pipeline of Value (POV) up to date.
  • Work with Procurement Analyst to maintain PE category databases including Supplier Spend Data and provide support for projects and negotiations.
  • Maintain PE SharePoint site data and access management to protect and ensure confidentiality of CEPG and Bottler-specific information
  • Identify, classify, maintain, and protect files, documentation, and sensitive information consistent with record handling and retention requirements.
  • Protect all Company information against unauthorized disclosure, and legal exposure.
  • Protect information provided in confidence from outside sources (bottlers and other business partners) and ensure this information is not disseminated to those not directly involved.

Pay Range:

$162,000 - $188,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
