Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal Project Manager Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position is located on site in Clearfield, UT

This role requires a strong background in project management, engineering, and construction. With a focus ensuring our projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. The successful candidates will coordinate with multiple stakeholders in order to deliver a successful project.

  

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage construction projects to include reviewing incoming department requests, cost estimate and schedule reviews, contractor workforce management, and coordination with other departments.
  • Oversees the construction of new or expanded facilities.
  • Prepares architectural and engineering cost estimates and schedules.
  • Obtains and supervises outside contractors.
  • Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
  • Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
  • Supervises the budgetary costing, standardized construction, and final inspection of facility projects.
  • Prepare and present reports on project status, including timelines, budgets, and any deviation from the original plan.
  • Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

 

Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Project Manager Level 4:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of work experience in at least one of the following fields: Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, Construction, Aerospace, Aeronautics, Electrical, Process, Production & Manufacturing. Or Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in at least one of the mentioned fields. Or Phd with 4 years of experience in at least one of the mentioned fields.

  • Must have strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

  • Must have experience in managing construction projects.

  • Must have experience with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera)

  • Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the job function (i.e. Revit, MS Visio, MS Project, and other construction design software)

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain DOD Secret clearance and necessary Special Program Accesses (SAP)
  • Must possess a valid Utah State driver's license or must acquire a Utah driver’s license within 30 days from the time of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Active DOD Secret/Top Secret level clearance and Special Program Access
  • Facilities experience in the Defense sector along with understanding of security standard ICD 705
  • Experience in aeronautics industry
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and LEED Certification

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,100.00 - $147,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
