Job Title: Senior Principal Consultant- Power Platform
The Senior Principal Consultant collaborates closely with cross-functional teams—including product management, architecture, data, and operations—to define technology roadmaps, standardize frameworks, and enable reusable, scalable solutions. They also play a key role in technical assessments, and stakeholder communication, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business outcomes. This role demands deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud computing, data platforms, and automation frameworks, along with strong leadership and the ability to drive digital transformation initiatives end-to-end. The Senior Principal Consultant is accountable for delivering high-impact technical solutions, enabling AI and innovation, and ensuring technology investments deliver measurable value to the enterprise.
What you’ll be doing:
Solution Design & Architecture:
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise-scale analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI ensuring end-to-end visibility, scalability, and performance across the data ecosystem.
- Architect and manage data models, lake houses, and semantic models within Microsoft Fabric, ensuring scalability, optimized performance, and adherence to data governance and security standards.
- Integrate Power BI with enterprise data sources such as AWS, Azure Data Lake, SQL Server, Synapse, and third-party APIs to ensure reliable and unified analytics.
- Support advanced analytics initiatives, partnering with data scientists and AI teams to embed predictive and prescriptive insights into Power BI dashboards.
- Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform and Azure innovations, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance analytics and automation capabilities.
- Leverage Power Automate to design and maintain automation workflows that streamline routine reporting, data refresh, and alerting processes.
Development & Visualization:
- Develop complex Power BI reports, interactive dashboards, and KPI scorecards using advanced DAX, Power Query, and data modelling techniques to transform raw data into meaningful insights.
- Drive data visualization excellence, standardizing dashboard frameworks, colour themes, and storytelling approaches for executive and operational reporting.
- Implement best practices for Power BI development, including data model optimization, row-level security (RLS), incremental refresh, and version control.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Power BI datasets, queries, and reports to ensure high availability, scalability, and efficient refresh cycles.
- Integrate Power BI and Power Automate solutions for real-time notifications, scheduled data updates, and proactive business alerts.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with business leaders, data engineers, and analysts to understand key performance metrics and translate business requirements into high-impact visual analytics solutions.
- Engage in stakeholder communication and strategic presentations, translating technical insights into business outcomes for senior leadership.
- Collaborate with data governance and IT security teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies and data protection regulations.
- Mentor and guide BI developers, promoting technical excellence, reusable design patterns, and a data-driven culture across teams.
Documentation:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) covering deployment processes, access management, refresh scheduling, data source configuration, and incident handling to ensure operational consistency and reliability.
- Ensure robust documentation for all BI projects, including solution architecture diagrams, data lineage, semantic models, technical specifications, and user guides, supporting knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability.

- Leadership & Vision: Provide visionary leadership in shaping the enterprise Power BI and Microsoft Fabric strategy, driving modernization, self-service analytics adoption, and data democratization across the organization.
- Architectural Excellence: Define and implement scalable BI architecture standards, encompassing data modelling, semantic layer design, performance optimization, and security frameworks to ensure reliability and consistency.
- Operational Excellence: Establish robust governance, monitoring, and optimization processes for Power BI and Fabric environments, ensuring high availability, efficient capacity utilization, and adherence to SLAs/SLOs for data refresh and report delivery.
- AI-Driven Optimization: Leverage AIOps, automation, and advanced analytics to monitor platform health, enhance root cause analysis, reduce MTTR, and proactively mitigate performance or data issues.
- Center of Excellence (CoE): Drive the establishment and maturity of a Power BI Center of Excellence, defining best practices, reusable assets, governance frameworks, and standardized development methodologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data engineering, platform, and business teams to align Power BI and Fabric architecture with enterprise data strategies, AI initiatives, and key business priorities.
- Strategic Communication: Translate complex analytical performance metrics, adoption KPIs, and platform health indicators into concise, executive-level updates that influence strategic decision-making.
- Innovation & Scalability: Continuously evaluate emerging technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem (Fabric, Power BI, Synapse, Azure AI) to enhance scalability, accelerate insights, and future-proof enterprise analytics capabilities.
- Mentorship & Talent Development: Build and mentor high-performing BI and analytics teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
What You Should Bring:
- Technical Expertise: Deep, hands-on expertise in Power BI architecture, enterprise architecture, cloud computing, Microsoft Fabric, data modelling (DAX, Power Query, M), data platforms, automation frameworks and performance optimization across complex, enterprise-scale environments.

Basic Qualifications and Experience Requirement:
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 12+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data platform architecture, with a strong focus on Power BI and Microsoft Fabric solutions.
- Power BI Expertise: Proven mastery in Power BI architecture, data modelling (DAX, Power Query, M), performance tuning, and end-to-end report lifecycle management in enterprise settings.
- Microsoft Fabric Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components, Real-Time Analytics), integrating them for unified data delivery and analytics.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading BI or data platform teams, managing large-scale implementations, and driving technical excellence across distributed environments.
- Data Integration Skills: proficiency in SQL, relational databases, APIs, and connecting diverse data sources to Power BI and Fabric environments for seamless analytics.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Domain experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical (Customer Master, Product Master, Alignment Master, Activity, Consent etc. ), or regulated industries is a plus.
- Partner with and influence vendor resources on solution development to ensure understanding of data and technical direction for solutions as well as delivery
- Working experience on Cloud – AWS / Azure
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
