While this role is hands-on and operations-driven, it also carries increased ownership and autonomy compared to a Specialist position, requiring solid experience, reliability, and attention to detail.

The Senior Specialist serves as a key point of contact for international team members, ensuring a high-quality employee experience, accurate execution of recurring processes, and smooth coordination with internal teams (e.g., Rewards, Finance, Global Facilities). They also help implement People Services initiatives, identify process improvement opportunities, and maintain compliance with local practices.

What You'll Do:

Payroll, Benefits and People Services Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the Payroll & Benefits team during the preparation, review, and delivery of the international monthly payroll run, including reporting new hires, leavers, and employee changes.
  • Support the Payroll & Benefits team with high-quality execution of global and local payroll-related projects, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and process consistency across regions.
  • Providing monthly payroll reports to the Finance team and supporting the international PS team during payroll audits.
  • Support the implementation of new benefits according to the forecasted annual benefits roadmap (research, vendor comparison, communications, employee Q&A, etc).
  • Administering the international employee benefits packages, including enrolling new hires into the medical insurance or the pension plan, supporting the PS team with ad-hoc campaigns (e.g. flu shots, medical checks). Managing other employee benefits such as vouchers, transportation schemes, and ad-hoc employee gifts.
  • Act as the regional point of contact for payroll and benefits queries, resolving issues independently where possible, and partnering with internal or external experts as needed.

        People Services Operations:

  • Maintain accurate employee records and manage processes like onboarding, employment changes, and verification letters.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and orientation for new hires, coordinating logistics and creating a warm welcome.
  • Act as a go-to contact for general employee queries, connecting people to the right resources and making the People function accessible and responsive.

Local Facilities support to the EMEA Office Manager:

  • Acting as a single point of contact for all local office suppliers (food and drinks, cleaning crew, general office supplies, new hire welcome packs, plants, office seasonal decorations, etc).
  • Support with any type of repair work around the office in collaboration with building management.
  • Collaborating with the Global Facilities team in projects such as office moves or refreshes, and help maintaining a welcoming and functional space.

Local Events and other corporate activities support to the EMEA Office Manager:

  • Support the planning and execution of local employee events, including seasonal celebrations, team lunches, wellbeing and engagement activities, and milestone recognitions.
  • Partner with Global Events and Internal Comms teams to localize global initiatives and drive engagement at the site level.
  • Foster a vibrant office culture by creating moments of connection, fun, and inclusion aligned with Bandwidth’s Body/Mind/Spirit philosophy.
  • In partnership with the EMEA Office Manager, source venues, manage budgets, liaise with vendors, and coordinate logistics to ensure smooth delivery of events that truly resonate with local teams.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or similar concentration
  • 3-4  years of human resources experience (either generalist, payroll & benefits, employee relations, etc)
  •  Decent knowledge of Human Resources processes, procedures, and practices and functional knowledge European employment laws and regulations

  • Proactive, dynamic and hands-on approach
  • Ability to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • A creative problem solver, being cool, calm and collected in your approach
  • Competent in managing multiple projects simultaneously across diverse functions, sites, and countries and work with a remote manager and team
  • Write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles. Excellent computer, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Work closely with others as part of a team while being able to take full responsibility for a task
  • Happy to work in an international tech company with colleagues all around the globe across multiple time zones
