The Medical Warehouseman - Senior supervises Medical Warehousemen. Responsible for assisting in maintaining effective and efficient warehouse activity. Responsible for assisting in the receiving, storing, inventorying and performing quality assurance inspections on medical supplies and non-maintenance-controlled equipment for the USAF Prepositioning Program. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
Principal Accountabilities
- Plans and distributes work assignments.
- Performs as a work leader and exercises supervisory control over medical warehouseman and a custodian.
- Develops work standards for subordinates. Implements the precepts of Quality Assurance within the guidelines set forth in the ISO 9001 program. Ensures work is completed and provides employees with feedback.
- Receives and inspects incoming supplies and non-maintenance equipment ensuring that quality and quantity agree with supporting shipment documentation.
- Annotates receipt documentation with quality assurance data for upload into the Medical Supply Computer System.
- Produces or requests new packing lists and warehouses material to assigned location by correct GPMS project and section.
- Assists in performing inventories and quality control serviceability inspections for supplies and non-maintenance equipment for all assigned GPMS projects.
- Removes material failing quality control serviceability inspections from GPMS projects.
- Removes outdated Type 1 dated material from projects unless material has been reported for dated item extension through the Food and Drug Administration.
- Completes dated item extensions on dated material and annotates extension labels with new expiration date and authority for extension.
- Assists in performing inventories and quality assurance inspections of individual component items that make up tent packages.
- Assists in preparing GPMS projects for deployment when tasked to do so by the USAF.
- Assists in the reconstitution of GPMS projects when returned from deployments.
- Assists in receipt and quality assurance inspections of incoming Meals-Ready-to-Eat (MREs) if applicable.
- Assists in preparing out shipment of MREs as tasked by the USAF if applicable.
- Stores and handles hazardous material as designated by Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDs).
- Operates warehouse equipment such as banding machine, band cutter and crimpier without direct supervision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Works in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to understand, speak, read and write English at an intermediate level.
- Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
- Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.
- Will be required to operate material handling equipment.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Three years' experience in a supply warehouse system or a closely related function required.
- Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.
- Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs. and performing extensive work handling/lifting equipment.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
