MAIN REPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- The Snr. Medical Manager reports directly to the Country Medical Director.
- The Snr. Medical Manager position is a hybrid job combining in-office work, customer-facing medical and in the Field activities.
- The Snr. Medical Manager develops deep Understanding of Global and Regional Pfizer Medical Affairs Strategies and local medical needs and priorities in order to shape and execute Medical tactics. He/ She is in charge of Planning and executing local medical strategies and scientific stakeholders’ engagement plans, compliantly in coordination with other Pfizer colleagues (as needed) to achieve medical objectives.
- He/ She Ensures appropriate and timely execution of approved Medical Operations, correct budget spending and regular follow up.
- The Snr. Medical Manager is responsible for managing and developing MSLs in his designated TA(s) (if applicable)
- The Snr. Medical Manager Identifies disease area/Customers’ unmet Medical needs and exchange these gaps with local stakeholders to feed internal Medical and Marketing Strategies. He/ She provides the necessary medical support to cross functional teams.
- He/ She Shares with internal cross functional colleagues, scientific and field Medical insights through regular reports and identify opportunities for collaboration to improve patient care.
- He/ She Utilizes knowledge and skills to design and execute educational programs to create a level of scientific awareness about relevant disease areas. These Medical Programs are to be aligned with Company strategies and can be in the form of Local /regional workshops, scientific meetings and symposia, local & Int’l speakers’ tours, advisory boards either virtual or face to face.
- The Snr. Medical Manager Provides education on the clinical impact of Pfizer medicinal products to help inform customer decision-making and improve patient outcomes through the communication of real-world data and scientific evidence.
- He/ she maintains a required level of knowledge of relevant TA/disease states and Pfizer medicines, providing therapeutic area/product information to both internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- The Snr. Medical Manager is responsible for KOL management related to his/her own therapeutic area and is the medical partner for KOLs and scientific experts in his markets.
- He/ She is the internal and external ambassador of the key stakeholders within the market, (universities, Health Authorities, Academic institutes..) and other medical/healthcare/patients associations, and engages with them to understand their patient health priorities and identify opportunities that aligns with the strategic Medical objectives of Pfizer.
- The Snr. Medical Manager demonstrates expertise in communication across multiple channels, including, live and virtual presentations in small or large settings, written communication, or virtual conversations. He/ She responds to unsolicited requests from customers regarding scientific interpretation of clinical information.
REQUIRED SKILL SET
Education:
- Medical background: Medical Doctor, Pharmacist Doctor
Experience:
- More than 4 years’ experience in medical affairs
Certifications:
- Full awareness of FCPA pharmaceutical industry codes, policies as well as local laws & regulations
Technical:
- Demonstrate clinical and technical expertise: Experienced in interpreting scientific data, capabilities in medical writing and authorship
- Experience with regulatory, clinical research and pharmacovigilance
- Possess strong strategic, analytical, self-awareness, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to both provide and receive constructive feedback
- Collaborate effectively and demonstrate leadership and teamwork with peers, internal stakeholders and external customers that inspires alignment and partnership on a shared vision or strategy
- Strong analytic skills including creativity and effectiveness in proactively identifying and addressing challenges
