Directly supporting the Associate Director, Field Medical Lead, the (Sr) Medical Advisor will support BeOne’s products with a focus on hematology by
Reviewing and approving promotional materials and medical communication related documents.
Supporting the delivery of Medical publication plans and publication-related deliverables
Supporting training for employees and new starters.
Being responsible for planning and performing symposia on local congresses and medical education events, e.g. DGHO, DKK, DCLLSG study group meeting, GLA study group meeting, MLW etc.
S/he will be responsible for planning and performing National Advisory Boards in close cooperation with the field based Medical Advisors.
S/he needs to ensure compliance with regional directives for, amongst others, the release of promotional material and local training materials.
The role requires close interaction with the field medical team, local marketing and commercial teams to assure strategic dialogue considering local specifics and input.
The incumbent will play a key role in the establishment of BeOne as a valued collaborator and best-in-class biopharmaceutical company.
Essential Functions of the job with focus on hematology:
S/he will supply medical insight into medical and promotional material along with learning materials for internal and external use and actively contribute medical and scientific input to relevant internal Brand(s) and Managed Markets teams regarding product strategy. In addition, s/he will manage the local publication strategy including local libraries.
Responsibilities in detail include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
Review and approval of local promotional materials, cross-functional collaboration with Customer Engagement, Corporate Affairs and Market Access as well as with PRC functions to support the creation of high quality deliverables in line with strategy, legal and compliance requirements.
Review and approval of medical materials (e.g. slidedecks for field medical use and for symposia including the creation of post congress slide decks) as part of the Medical review committee and in close collaboration with other medical functions.
Supporting, reviewing and approving local medical materials; e.g. scripted responses, Q&As, etc. as well as handling FAQs, standard response letters, etc.
Planning, organization and execution of symposia on local congresses and medical education events incl. strategic focus, content creation, speakers selection and briefing, review and approval of materials, always in collaboration with the local field medical team.
Support of external medical education programs (CME).
Manage Medical publication activities by supporting the submission of encore abstracts provided by Global Publication Team to local congresses and initiate local publication projects.
Planning, organization and execution of national advisory boards in close collaboration with other medical functions.
Built-up and maintain medical reference- and literature library, support literature requests and research for the medical team.
Provide support and preparation related to national and international congresses, as identifying session of interest, abstract summaries, etc.
Developing and supporting medical focused trainings for employees, like commercial colleagues and new starters.
Continuous monitoring of product trends from a local level to ensure appropriate content strategy and documents are developed.
Continuous improvement of medical processes and deliverables.
Supporting strategic creation of the scientific content and agendas in close cooperation with Customer Engagement and Commercial. Support speaker requests and speaker’s briefings as well as slide support in close collaboration with the medical field team.
Support local Medical information request in close collaboration with global team
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience and success within other biotech/pharmaceutical companies
Experience of working in a Medical Affairs role
Track record of experience in the field of Immuno-Oncology and/or Hematology
Experience in the use of Veeva and knowledge of HWG (Heilmittelwerbegesetz) are a plus
High level of communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, and cross functional collaboration skills
Flexibility to work with colleagues in an international setting
Able to engage in work-related travel, approximately 25%
Excellent skills in medical-specific English language
