The primary role of the Senior Manager Technical Service & Development (TS&D) in Arxada is to provide expertise and leadership to deliver:
Essential Job Functions:
- Financial results (as measured by Revenue, Innovation Revenue, and Innovation Margin) through support of existing customers and development of new business at growth accounts
- Unmatched technical support and service to customers with focus on the Paints & Coatings and associated markets
- Recognized leadership in the industry through participation in technical conferences, trade shows, and technical committees
- Customer-driven innovation projects to create new value-added solutions
- Linkage to Global R&D team to provide regional market insights and to assist with regional launch of R&D programs
- Key technical partner for the Arxada Commercial Director EMEA.
- Understand the innovation needs of Arxada customers and how Arxada technology can deliver solutions for those needs. Partner with regional commercial managers to develop and implement robust customer-focused innovation strategies.
- Develop and lead customer-driven and market-driven opportunities for innovation projects (new products, new applications, new approaches, etc.). Partner with R&D and other TS&D leaders to leverage information and learnings. Promote the development of strong IP portfolio.
- Lead in execution of customer-specific opportunities to develop microbial control solutions differentiated from competition. Gain customer qualifications for existing products into existing applications in order to take share and grow revenue.
- Lead to understand competitor’s products and guide team in development of robust Value Propositions and Product Positioning for Arxada product/solutions. Communicate and leverage effective approaches to other TS&D teams across the globe.
- Lead to develop robust technical information in the form of customer seminars, webinars and academies, reports of call, research/technical reports, presentations, product data sheets, and sales tools for new products.
- Lead to create external influence on the biocide industry by authoring trade articles, technical presentations, participating in industry associations, and collaborating with universities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ Technical experience with a demonstrated track record of scientific excellence, technical problem solving and delivery of value-creating business results.
- 5+ experience in advanced paint formulation and application expertise.
- Experience in leading a technical team and delivering results through that team.
- B.Sc. / M.Sc./ PhD Degree in Chemical Sciences or Biological Sciences
- Business related travel of approximately 30-60% will be required.
- Travel to visit and interact with customers is a requirement.
- Business Fluent German and English.
