Role and Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Senior Manager – Product Innovation (Metabolic Health focus), US Digital Health will report to the Head of Product Innovation, US Digital Health, and will be responsible for the development of new product lines, services, and features related to metabolic health in alignment with the Digital Health business strategy and goals, and Nutrition/Glucose/Metabolic Health pillar domains.
Samsung Health seeks a domain expert to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative, consumer-centric digital health services that span wellness to clinical. This role will contribute significantly to innovation in digital health and improving the health of millions. This role is ideal for an expert with a strong background in metabolic health, nutrition, or functional health who is passionate about leveraging technology to improve consumer wellness and prevention
Role and Responsibilities
- Drive Product Innovation: Partner with product teams to design and deliver digital health product line extensions that enhance metabolic health and overall wellbeing. Lead analyses on build, buy, partner decisions.
- Shape Strategic Direction: Support the development and execution of Samsung Health’s metabolic health strategy, ensuring alignment with broader lifestyle, health, and nutrition platforms.
- Inform Evidence-Based Design: Provide guidance on metabolic health interventions—including assessment, content, and algorithms for nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle—translating scientific evidence into actionable product features and content strategies.
- Translate Research Into Impact: Conduct literature reviews and monitor emerging trends (e.g., CGMs, GLP-1 RAs, novel sensor technologies), synthesizing insights into differentiated product strategies aligned with platform capabilities.
- Elevate Content & User Experience: Develop best-in-class content briefs and recommendations to inform UX and product design, ensuring scientific rigor and consumer relevance.
- Leverage Data-Driven Insights: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze user data and feedback, refining product offerings to improve engagement, outcomes, and scalability.
- Accelerate Innovation & Partnerships: Partner with Strategic Partnerships, Business Development, and cross-functional stakeholders to lead test-and-learn initiatives and proof-of-concepts across metabolic health and nutrition themes, including partnership assessment, innovation project design, and end-to-end implementation.
- Support the US Digital Health Business, as needed:
- Provide inputs/guidance on Global and US Digital Health GTM Strategy - Voice of Partners/Customers, analyze the feedback, conduct gap analysis, and have a perspective and insights on market trends.
- Provide and support analysis of competitive offerings
- From time-to-time support other Sales, Partnership, and Marketing activities as needed by the organization
Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelors degree required with relevant nationally recognized certifications, Advanced degree (Masters or Doctoral) preferred; In a scientific field that provides a well-rounded background in metabolic health, e.g. nutrition, chronic disease prevention, weight management/obesity, functional medicine, cardiovascular disease, exercise physiology, health promotion, or public health.
- Experience in data analytics, data science, glucose monitoring devices or algorithms development.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to translate complex health concepts into simple, actionable insights for consumers.
- Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholders
- Experience working as part of a cross-functional product team.
- Experience building product strategy for digital health products and services.
- Excellent written & oral communication skills with a proven ability to provide clarity in complex situations
- Experience producing highly effective presentations to communicate with internal and external customers and partners
- Ability to work independently, quickly, and thoroughly to prioritize and complete tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to collaborate effectively, both internally and with partners, customers
Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions
- Work is generally performed in an office environment.
- This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
- Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored, and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions.
- Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company’s competitive position.
- There will be significant travel to develop & manage to business goals
Compensation for this role, for candidates based in Mountain View, CA is expected to be between $180,000 ~ $210,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
