Senior Manager, People Analytics

Lyft’s People team is looking for a dedicated people analytics leader to guide us through the next generation of our function. You'll be a trusted partner and consultant across our people team with a mission to transform complex workforce information into clear, compelling insights that help to define, measure, and evaluate our broader people strategy. Equal parts functional expert and customer-obsessed consultant, you will redefine our people data strategy and service model to ensure the right level of support for our internal customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of people-focused researchers and analytics professionals
  • Build, refine, and maintain both established and exploratory data systems and platforms 
  • Help drive a culture of curiosity, innovation, and exceptional partnerships across the people team, ensuring key customers are both self-sufficient and directly supported through their people data needs
  • Build strong working partnerships across the people team and other functional leaders to understand strategic challenges and deliver data-driven insights on key talent topics, including retention, engagement, performance, and workforce planning.
  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reports that provide accessible and meaningful people metrics
  • Conduct advanced quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify trends, predict future workforce needs, and measure the effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Present complex findings and strategic recommendations to executive leadership in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and privacy across all people's data and systems, collaborating with internal tech, data, and legal teams.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Industrial-Organizational Psychology) or comparable applied experience and results.
  • 7+ years of experience in analytics-focused roles, with at least 3+ years of applied people analytics experience that includes both recruiting and employee life cycle data.
  • Established people management experience including multiple hiring and performance cycles
  • Expertise in data visualization and storytelling with tools such as Tableau, Thoughtspot, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency with data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., statistical analysis) and relevant programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R).
  • Deep understanding of HR processes, metrics, and systems (e.g., Workday).

Lyft highly values having employees working in-office to foster a collaborative work environment and company culture. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office at least 3 days per week, including on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $183,000 - CAD $228,750. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
