Job Summary
• This role is responsible for providing direct leadership to a team of multiple subordinate managers and individual contributors. The role acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization and applies expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving most complex business/technical issues within established policies. The role entails managing relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, facilitating collaboration between various teams, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, and enhancing communication by providing various levels of status updates.
Responsibilities
• Provides direct and ongoing leadership for an organization of multiple subordinate managers and individual contributors designing and developing engineering solutions and managing projects for mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling for products.
• Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects and programs, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
• Engages with program managers, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders and executives to communicate program status, escalate issues, and guide and influence strategic decision-making.
• Works with key stakeholders to secure commitments for the necessary resources to complete the planned activities and conduct the required reviews.
• Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
• Partners with product management, technical program management, manufacturing, operations and other engineering groups to facilitate effective collaboration between teams.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
• Enhances communication by providing various levels of status updates, spanning from individual contributors to executive management.
• Provides overall people-care management for direct reports, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; drives and fosters organization-wide performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team member and process development.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in engineering design and solutions, implementation across hardware development lifecycle, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is $146,650 to $225,850 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
