About the Position
The Inbound Transportation Senior Manager oversees inbound freight across the US and Canada, working with Global Supply Chain, materials planning team, S&OE and all suppliers of the company to set service models, transition plans and SLAs. This position turn strategy into operational plans, lead and develop large teams, ensure compliance, and apply CI/Lean to improve processes. This position also manage stakeholders and carriers, drive KPI/SLA governance with 3PLs, uncover cost and standardization opportunities across the end-to-end supply chain, and advance transportation technology adoption.
In brief, you will be responsible for:
- Lead Transportation Inbound team Execution processes across US and Canada.
- Partner with Global Supply Chain Operating units and Plants, external manufacturers, S&OE teamand carriers to deliver effective and efficient Service Delivery, including the operations, integration; process transition roadmap; SLA definition and service catalogues.
- People Leadership: Lead large teams effectively, Deliver Operations strategy into operational plans; monitor compliance and drive corrective/optimizing measures in case of deviations/exceptions.
- Be a Coach and Mentor to Transportation teams ensuring the Development of direct reports and their respective teams.
- Driving Process excellence initiatives across Transportation using CI framework and application of Lean practices
- Responsible for Senior Stakeholder management with Business Units, Procurement & External Carriers.
- Lead and drive Transportation Service reviews of KPIs, SLAs and governance meetings with 3PLs & Carriers to action continuous improvements.
- Identify opportunities across Transportation & the E2E supply chain to enable KHC operations, cost improvement and process standardization
- Define and implement new technology solutions across Transportation to keep the Global Operations & Organization future ready
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or related field
- 8+ Years Supply Chain experience preferably within FMCG
- Strong knowledge of Transportation, S&OP and Logistics operations
- Proficiency in Supply Chain & Transportation software & tools (TMS, OTM, SAP, ORTEC & 4Kites)
- Proven track record to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Impact over +12 team members. Lead Transportation Execution processes across all regional distribution POD’s
