Senior Manager, Franchise Revenue and Corporate Cash Accounting

The Senior Manager, Accounting provides leadership and oversight for onshore and offshore teams responsible for all Cash and Collections, Payment Services, and Loyalty accounting to ensure complete and accurate close, internal and external reporting and controls over A/R and cash transactions. This role will ensure transactions comply with US GAAP.  

 

This role will support the vision for the Inspire OTC team by partnering with the broader accounting team, franchise services, development, treasury and financial systems teams to create efficiency, automation and standardization. This leader will be viewed as a subject matter expert and will play a critical role in OneInspire Finance. 

 

This position will ensure that cash and accounting policies and all collections are executed and documented, along with appropriate governance, controls, segregation of duties. The successful candidate will be action-oriented and will seek to build strong relationships with and deliver superior service to key stakeholders. This leader will support and drive execution of initiatives to scale through people, process, and technology, with synergies.

This position sits within our Atlanta based Global Support Center with an expectation to be onsite 80% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the department’s daily matching and monthly cash reconciliations in our cash management tool to meet close and reporting deadlines. Cash balances are ~$1B, with over $500M of operational activity, ~$300M of investing activity and ~$500M of financing activity to account for on an annual basis. 
  • Oversee collections and transactional accounting for all franchisee-facing activities including loyalty, payment services, rebates, the universal enrollment tool, non-core billings, CPG, loans, interest charges, and other miscellaneous customer activity for approximately 33,000 franchise locations, representing ~$2.8B in annual revenue. 
  • Oversee the month-end and quarter-end close process activities, including review of journal entries, review of accurate and complete account reconciliations and analyses.  
  • Coordinate and deliver accelerated month end close processes including financial reporting. Review and advise on proper treatment of accounting issues in accordance with US GAAP. 
  • Communicate effectively across the organization regarding business and accounting issues, policies and procedures to ensure accurate accounting in accordance with US GAAP.   
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audits, establish and execute control environment. 
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team where inclusion and diversity are leveraged for innovation and continuous improvement. Foster a culture of collaboration, training, and success. 
  • Provide business partnering and decision support on complex/unique/new business activities 
  • Develop and maintain acquisition playbook to integrate acquisition processes and personnel into centralized teams, processes, and systems. 
  • Partner with the Finance leadership, Development and Franchise Services with ad hoc projects and analysis as required. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-Year degree in Accounting.  
  • Certified Public Accountant, preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience. 
  • Experience with cash management tools and general ledger financial systems experience.
  • Prior experience managing teams.

  • Ability to plan work effectively, supervise and coordinate the work of the team, meet assigned deadlines, and make sound decisions. 

  • Self-sufficient, dependable and strong ability to multi-task and shift priorities. 

  • Ability to combine technical abilities, financial & business acumen, problem-solving skills and U.S. GAAP knowledge to develop and deliver solutions for business partners and senior management. 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – including but not limited to, pivot tables, lookup, and complex formulas. Must be able to work in Outlook, Excel and Word in a Windows environment. 

  • Excellent communication skills and a customer service. 

  • Strong knowledge of internal controls and able to determine and recommend new changes to controls. 

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, fast growing company where adaptability is imperative. 

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES

  • Experience with Oracle or other major ERP systems.
