THE ROLE    

The Senior Manager of DC Operations is responsible for leading all aspects of distribution center and warehouse operations, including staff planning, performance management, continuous improvement, and training and development. This role oversees both strategic direction and execution across all key performance areas: Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Team Engagement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Compile and deliver data and reports to management promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Oversee team leaders responsible for daily reporting and operational performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve operational, system, and workflow issues.
  • Develop expertise in systems, integrations, data flows, and fulfillment processes.
  • Drive performance improvement strategies leveraging technology and process innovation.
  • Identify and execute cost-reduction and process-optimization initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to design and manage operational systems, processes, and KPIs.
  • Support managers in aligning staffing levels with seasonal or peak demands.
  • Maintain efficient warehouse operations through effective inventory, storage, and distribution controls.
  • Supervise clerical staff handling warehousing documentation.
  • Ensure accurate product transfers and inventory control for all warehouse movements.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget and business plan.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5–10 years of management experience in retail distribution and logistics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Proven leadership with a commitment to high-quality customer and client service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all management levels.
  • Flexible to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
