Senior Manager, Corporate Development

Corporate Development is responsible for leading and supporting Prudential’s strategic growth agenda by identifying and executing on inorganic and major strategic partnership projects. As a Group Manager, the candidate is expected to support the development of the inorganic strategy, identify potential acquisition targets, and manage and execute the transactions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Target screening, due diligence and valuation
  • Clear articulation of deal value (base case and synergies) and potential deal breakers
  • Work closely with different functional experts, including Risk, Legal, Finance and Tax
  • Strong project management
  • Maintain solid relationships with external advisers to draw upon external help as needed
  • Robust quantitative analysis 
  • Market intelligence to support decision making
  • Practical solutions on structures and arrangements to achieve our strategic and financial objectives
  • Support the development of high quality Exco materials to facilitate decision-making

Key Competencies

  • At least 10 years of working experience. Previous experience in M&A preferred
  • Bachelors degree
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Effective communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Work collaboratively with other relevant functions as “one team”
