Job Description Summary
The Senior Manager, Contracts & Pricing is responsible for providing revenue contract and commercial reporting support for the Generics segment of Mallinckrodt’s Specialty Generics Business Unit. This role will work to improve price and margin realization across the portfolio using data-driven commercial decision-making. This position works closely with Sales, Contracts, Commercial Operations, Legal, and Finance to ensure all deals are compliant with business policies.Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Participate in the execution of the pricing strategy and tactics to support sales and margin targets.
Utilize market pricing intelligence and competitive intelligence to execute bids (including RFPs, ROFRs, customer requests, etc.), pricing strategy and support value realizations accordingly (contract compliance analysis, exit low/negative margin contracts, enhance backup positions, improve velocity with GPO pricing, propose pricing during periods of excess demand, etc.)
Manage the implications of most favored nation’s obligations, tracking customers and best price during the pricing process and identify risks and opportunities that arise when changes occur.
Execute the bid process and prepare accurate and timely pricing to bid responses and maintain a log of open contract bid items in Salesforce. Lead bi-weekly open items call with sales team to ensure proper tracking (and win rates, opportunity product metadata) while capturing detailed notes on the status of each open opportunity.
Work collaboratively with Sales, Contracts, Legal and Finance to meet deadlines and to review and identify issues/concerns to various pricing and contract inquiries and help to resolve price discrepancies on chargeback and rebate submissions.
Maintain standardized monthly communications utilizing automated commercial dashboards from multiple, external-sourced data platforms for the Generics sales team to measure progress against short and long-term objectives. Able to analyze data, draw inferences and communicate progress. Prepare, analyze and distribute standard reports, tools and dashboards that include commercial and market data.
Utilize the pricing analysis models and understand the various key terms and elements of the model to maintain accurate pricing and calculation of customer rebates .
Interpret revenue and rebate contracts, understand key elements and determine business and financial implications.
Report WAC price changes to Data Integrity Group (internal) and pricing compendia (Medispan, Elsevier, Redbook and First Data Bank) and support all price compendia requests.
Provide WAC changes and all supporting data to the State Reporting Pricing Team to ensure all changes are in accordance with the latest state statutes and regulations.
Provide Public Health System (PHS) pricing calculations to finance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
BA/BS degree required.
Advanced degree in business, finance or accounting beneficial.
Experience:
Five or more years of commercial or relevant industry experience required.
Minimum of three years relevant experience in pricing and/or contracting and reporting is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of US pharmaceutical value chain and industry dynamics highly desired.
Strong understanding of business-to-business and manufacturer-distributor value chain and industry dynamics; specific knowledge of US generic pharmaceutical market dynamics required.
Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and executing pricing and contracting strategies.
Skills/Competencies:
Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) skills.
Must be accurate, detailed and organized.
Strong analytical, data analysis and problem-solving skills, experience developing pricing models preferred.
Prior experience with cloud-based CRM applications preferred (Model N and/or Salesforce).
Excellent PC skills and systems skills; Must have intermediate Excel skills (V-Lookup, Pivots) and Word/Adobe.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based setting and to lead through indirect influence.
Strong insights into pharmaceutical pricing models and industry best practices.
Experience with contracting/legal language.
SCOPE OF POSITION / RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS:
This position will report to the Director of Pricing, Contracts and Competitive Intelligence, and will work with key stakeholders from National Accounts (sales), Product Management/Commercial Operations, Contract Administration, Customer Service, Legal and Finance.
