About the Role
The Senior Librarian (Research Engagement) works collaboratively with the Research Engagement team and Colleges to develop and maintain a sustainable suite of Library support services, this position provides a service essential to the success of the University’s mission and vison:

This role requires a proactive approach, engaging with academic staff, higher degree by research students, colleagues in Information and Digital Services and other areas to ensure they are fully informed and able to make use of library resources, along with identifying new and emerging technologies that assist the research, learning and teaching needs and improve library services.
You will also represent the Library at relevant College and University committees and meetings, (including after-hours), contribute to College accreditation and reviews processes and preparing Library impact statements for new and revised courses, and lead designated projects contributing to strategies that support University and Library priorities related to research.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
Extensive experience in academic or research libraries, with broad expertise in research data management, open access, researcher metrics, and a strong understanding of generative AI applications in research workflows.
Confidence working in tech-rich, evolving environments, with a proactive approach to integrating new tools and platforms.
Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, including experience applying project methodologies and delivering results on time.
A University degree and be eligible for Associate (professional) membership of ALIA
A talent for building collaborative partnerships across academic teams—your standout strength.
