Salary:
$7,000.00 - $7,500.00 per month commensurate with experience.
Job Description Summary:
The Senior IT Professional II, as a member of the IT Operations & Support department, under general direction, provides technical leadership for administering multiple complex SaaS applications and other services and ensuring compliance with the unit's technical standards on behalf of the Texas A&M University System.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain the LERMS and other SaaS applications (e.g., document management, workflow automation, collaboration tools).
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors for resolution.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions in accordance with security policies.
- Support the implementation of SaaS applications and upgrades to existing systems.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to interface SaaS applications with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, Identity management, CRM).
- Ensure data accuracy, retention, and compliance with records management policies and regulatory requirements for LERMS and other applications.
- Assist in audits and reporting related to data access, retention, and system usage.
- Maintain system documentation, including configuration guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and change logs.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users.
- Evaluate system usage and user feedback to recommend enhancements. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in SaaS administration and records management.
- Coordinate and collaborate across workstreams, departments and with external vendors as needed. Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely manner.
- Manage data exports, imports, and transformations to support business processes and integrations for LERMS and other applications.
- Participate in training and professional development sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eight years of related technology experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Information Technology Service Management and Infrastructure Library (ITSM/ITIL) concepts and practices.
- Knowledge and experience with IT architecture, project management, change management, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Knowledge and experience in managing enterprise SaaS solutions and enterprise-level operations.
- Occasional travel and work outside scheduled hours.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Registration, Certifications, and Licenses:
- Ability to pass the state and national fingerprint-based background check to obtain the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with administration of law enforcement records management systems (LERMS).
- Experience with records retention schedules and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- ITIL or other relevant certifications.
- Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Certified.
