  • Lead HF strategy on major airplane programs and influence design across systems, cabin, and crew interfaces.

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams (systems, safety, certification, design, suppliers) and external regulators.

  • Use labs, digital human modeling, and human-in-the-loop testing to shape real aircraft features that impact passengers and crews.

  • Lead and own Human Factors/Human Engineering efforts for aircraft systems and subsystems: requirements definition, trade studies, design input, and verification/validation.

  • Develop HF Plans, HF compliance matrices, HF certification artifacts, and traceability to system requirements.

  • Perform task & workload analyses, anthropometric evaluations, usability studies, human error analysis, and human-in-the-loop testing.

  • Use digital human modeling and simulation tools (e.g., JACK, RAMSIS) and lab equipment (eye tracking, motion capture) to inform design decisions.

  • Integrate HF inputs into system-of-systems architecture and lifecycle processes (requirements management, risk/opportunity tracking, TRL assessments).

  • Support and lead HF aspects of certification activities (FAA/EASA/ANAC) and development/design assurance audits.

  • Provide technical guidance and represent Boeing as a prime HF contact with suppliers, customers and regulators.

  • Mentor and coach junior HF engineers; drive continuous improvement in HF processes and solutions.

  • Proven hands-on experience with HF methods: task analysis, anthropometry, cognitive workload assessment, usability testing, human-in-the-loop test planning.

  • Experience with FAR Part 25 and other relevant airworthiness regulations, and working with FAA/EASA/ANAC certification processes.

  • Practical experience with lab-based tools (eye trackers, motion capture), human performance modeling, and test data analysis.

  • Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Systems Engineering, or related field is a plus.
