Senior Engineer

Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform semiconductor engineering research, design, development, and testing for firm products and devices in conjunction with product development for the electronic communications industry.
  • Work as part of the GPU IP design team. Contribute to the team and responsible for utilizing machine learning modeling to analyze and improve design power and performance.
  • Develop end-to-end Machine Learning ecosystems, with data pipelines, ML pipelines, and deployment flow to allow the model as a service.
  • Work with Design Engineer to refine and improve model accuracy by analyzing input and result data.
  • Refine model to provide better algorithms to predict GPU Power.
  • Develop statistical tests to monitor confidence intervals and drift detection to uphold accuracy.
  • Work on infrastructure automation and user-friendly usage interface.
  • Work with Hardware Emulation Engineers to define, prepare the training data preparation.
  • May work from home on a hybrid schedule within San Jose, CA and surrounding areas.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field and Five (5) years of experience in a related occupation in computer graphic pipeline, graphic architecture, or image visual; Python to automate/triage large results; and coding using C to develop machine learning modeling

Alternate Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus three (3) years of experience in a related occupation in computer graphic pipeline, graphic architecture, or image visual; Python to automate/triage large results; and coding using C to develop machine learning modeling.

Total Rewards

At Samsung – SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is $216,091. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. This is an exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
