Senior Drilling Engineering Advisor

Activities:

Specific duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to managing the engineering work plan and study work process
  • Promote physics-based drilling engineering, execution, and deep data analytics
  • Contribute to the continual development of the engineering team through knowledge and experience transfer
  • Lead peer reviews and QA/QC of deliverables for clients
  • Supervise Real-Time services validating drilling optimization recommendations and way forward
  • Super user for all DrillScan Digital Solutions
  • Perform advanced well engineering studies
  • Capitalize and share acquired know-how learning engineering processes and workflows
  • Develop strong relationships and maintain regular contact with clients
  • Participate to the ongoing development of DrillScan Digital Solutions
  • Handle special projects as assigned
  • Provide training courses to clients
  • Support the Business Development team
  • Promote H&P DrillScan Digital Solutions, training, and pillars of services
  • Promote H&P values: Actively C.A.R.E., Service Attitude, Innovative Spirit, and Teamwork

Skills:

  • Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of well engineering, well integrity, and drilling performance
  • Highly proficient in the use of drilling engineering software
  • Excellent learning, analytical, and synthesis skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with peers and less experienced engineers
  • Excellent presentation skills with close attention to the quality of deliverables
  • Demonstrated capabilities in writing and presenting technical papers

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in petroleum engineering and/or mechanical engineering

Experience:

  • 6-10 years of experience in drilling and wells engineering/operations, preferably acquired with an operator and/or a service company specialized in Directional Drilling and MWD/LWD measurements
  • Experience with providing real-time engineering services or monitoring

Travel:

  • Business trips for client meetings and to attend/present at technical conferences
  • Missions to be based in client offices to provide engineering services

Other:

  • Right to live and work in Europe
  • Fluent English, French would be a plus
