MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for an experienced Senior Director, Sponsorship Consulting to join our team to help drive client satisfaction and growth across a global brand client – with a focus on Formula 1 and golf partnerships. You will work with clients and partner with teammates to implement specialist global sponsorship marketing strategy, activations, asset management, and measurement. You should have direct experience leading integrated teams delivering high-profile brand partnerships and activations on either the brand or rightsholder side. You will report into the Vice President, Sponsorship Consulting and oversee international agency account teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage global execution of a client's international sponsorship portfolio, ensuring use of all assets available to client

  • Drive partnership strategy, applying in-depth understanding of the property landscape to identify areas of opportunity and optimization for clients

  • Oversee an international agency team creating regional brand programs to support global partnerships

  • Communicate with senior clients to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and collaboration

  • Manage relationships with sanctioning bodies and rightsholders to help develop outstanding marketing partnerships

  • Manage teams developing important documents including activation plans and POV documents to client-ready status

  • Knowledge of and experience with the full marketing mix, social media, content marketing, influencer approaches, and marketing promotions

  • Oversee full-service activation campaigns and events from top to bottom

  • Maintain oversight on all activation programming including overall annual and per-event budgeting following internal guidelines

  • Support negotiation with local, national, and global rightsholders on behalf of clients, securing win-win agreements that surpass client expectations

  • Play a support role in the agency new business activities including brainstorming, presentation writing and presentation delivery

  • Travel is required including some weekends and holidays depending on client assignments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience, including:

    • 6+ years of experience in Formula 1 on the brand, agency, or property side and deep knowledge of the Formula 1 ecosystem is a requirement

    • Direct golf marketing experience working on high-profile sponsorship programs involving properties such as the PGA TOUR, PGA of America and U.S. Golf Association

  • Experience working with premium global brands and properties

  • Work with colleagues, senior executives, talent, and clients, recognizing the need to adjust communication style according to the audience

  • Share/present ideas and concepts in a team environment and demonstrate openness to giving/accepting thoughtful constructive feedback

  • Aim to increase industry knowledge; able to self-educate to be ahead of the curve

  • Contribute to internal activities (team building, events, off-sites) and add to our culture

The annual salary range for this position is $78,000-$126,500. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
